AMY BROWN FEATURES ON 'WRITER'S BLOCK RADIO HOUR'
Amy Brown produced, edited, acted in and wrote a short play, 'Options', for Writer's Block Radio Hour . This was included in their Cliffhanger episode.
Amy was delighted to be chosen to feature in this episode after the organiser, Glen Dickson, admitted that he was "completely bowled over by the amount of submissions for the Cliffhanger episode. It was difficult selecting the final 12 as the standard was incredibly high."

AMY BROWN WRITES
SATIRICAL COMEDY SERIES
Amy Brown's satirical comedy series, 'Fanny & Christobel', got a theatrical airing at GenFest, (Royal & Derngate, Northampton) on Sunday 13th October 2024 and it went down a storm!
Writing Doesn't Have To Be Lonely Showcase
"Fanny & Christobel: a radio series" is best described as a satirical comedy series poking fun at modern royals; entitled politicians and anyone who Amy finds slightly ridiculous and amusing! Fanny is a lovelorn, out of touch, filthy rich heiress to an aristocratic fortune. Christobel is her very odd mother who wholly disapproves of her undesirable love match with neighbouring Aristocrat, Peregrine. This is their story. Think "The Goon Show" meets the entitled upper classes! It's very, very silly.
If you didn't catch it live, no problemo....because you can find episode 1,2,3 & 4 on YouTube now:

Bi-annual rehearsed readings of new writing
Amy is a proud Reader, Actor and Director at Stagewrite, Bedford's biannual new writing competition. (The Place Theatre)
StageWrite is a hothouse for the development of new writing for theatre, designed to help plays grow from page to performance. It supports writers in the process of getting their work up on its feet and in front of an audience for the very first time.
They rehearse over one weekend and then the plays are performed semi-staged, script in hand to allow for a more developed experience than a rehearsed reading (where actors simply read the play out loud). You'll be amazed at how much can be done in a short space of time!
StageWrite presents two plays of between 30 and 60 minutes over the course of one evening, performed by professional actors, and includes a short Q&A session after each piece to allow audience members the chance to offer feedback and the writers to discover more about how their work is received. Every time StageWrite happens, it's different – the nature of profiling brand new work!
