Hello from Amy Brown...

Hello, I'm Amy Brown – a RADA-trained actor and voiceover artist with over two decades of professional experience across stage and screen.
Since 2004, I've performed under the stage name Amy Brown, playing a wide range of leading roles in theatres across the UK and beyond. My stage work has taken me to some of the country's most celebrated venues, including the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, the Bridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Swan Theatre (RSC), the Lyric Hammersmith, the Novello Theatre in London, and many more — from Birmingham Rep and West Yorkshire Playhouse to Oxford Playhouse, Northern Stage, and the New Vic in Stoke-on-Trent.
I've had the joy of playing some truly beloved characters, including Lucy in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird, and Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream. The latter took me on an unforgettable international tour with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, performing to standing ovations at the Lincoln Center in New York, Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, and the Royal Festival Hall in London.
One of the highlights of my stage career was a year-long contract with the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of their Complete Works season. I played Margaret in Marianne Elliott's award-winning production of Much Ado About Nothing, starring Tamsin Greig — a show that played to packed houses in Stratford-upon-Avon and the West End.
Beyond the stage, I've worked across film and television for the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, and more. I was directed by Oscar-winner Jane Campion in the feature film Bright Star, and currently appear as the sharp-tongued Ms Harper in BBC Three's hit comedy Boarders — streaming now on BBC iPlayer. If you're in the mood for something darker, you can also spot me as a fearsome police officer in Netflix's global sci-fi smash Supacell.
Most recently, I wrapped on two short films: Off Track, written and directed by Peter Kehoe, and Funny History, by Daisy Moore (BFI NETWORK 2024 cohort), funded by the BFI NETWORK England Short Film Fund. Both are set to hit the festival circuit soon.

What do the critics say?

Amy Brown in Nicholas Nickleby..."delightful comedic portraits (- whether it's) Amy Brown as the spolit, squawking Fanny Squeers"

                                                   Rachel Halliburton, Evening Standard

Amy Brown in Summer Lightning..."Special congratulations go to Amy Brown as Sue Brown"

                                                    Caroline Morris, The Stage

Amy Brown in To Kill a Mockingbird..."Amy Brown impresses as inquisitive tomboy Scout"

                                                      Lesley Bates, The Stage

Amy Brown in Much Ado About Nothing..."I can't remember any previous productions in which Margaret (Amy Brown) was stricken with guilt for her involvement in Hero's apparent death, but this unusual reading is both credible and touching…

...Elliott is particularly impressive in her handling of the smaller roles. Margaret (Amy Brown) is a case in point: her obvious distress at the way she has been used by Borachio provides a moment of real pathos"

                                                        Peter Lathan, British Theatre Guide

Amy Brown in The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe..."Amy Brown's thoroughly innocent and child-like Lucy, turns in a captivating performance"
